I saw Ali Siddiq last year when he came to town.  I’d never heard of him before but thought i’d give him a shot.  He was so smart and hilariously funny, that I have found myself watching out for his career, seeing what he is doing.  And of course i’d love to see him live again. 
That said, if you only see him on his 1/2 hour Comedy Central stand up episode or his visits on talk shows or even his latest hour long standup in the jail setting, you will be missing the best part of his act.  His live act is so real and so deep, brief encounters on tv do not do him justice. 
Checking his tour schedule, i’m disappointed he’s not coming to my town.  If you are lucky enough to be in a town that is on his tour don’t miss him.  He’s a real gem.
