Hello there !!

I’m new here so I thought I’ll give a little introduction about myself.

Basically, I am not a stand up comedian. I am a magician, who just loves watching comedy ( well who doesn’t ? ) .. I’m interested in how you came to where most of you are, doing stage stand ups. Have you learned the joke telling techniques ??

I am very interested in books that don’t teach “jokes” or “one liners”, but rather the psychology of telling a joke. As a magician, psychologically when you impress or compliment someone, by your patter and effects you perform, and are in the lead with confidence, its easier to make them smile and laugh as you lengthen your rapport with them, whether its a stage show or a close up show. ( If they like you, they like your stuff )

I love to read, and I would appreciate some help with “the psychology of telling jokes”. Not that I SUCK !!! :P but I’m such a fan of psychological aspects in every way. Whether its comedy or magic that you’re doing, the psychology of presentation I think you would never stop learning about. And I said “psychology” too much it starts getting irritating.

Anyway, nice to be here. I love the website’s layout and colours.
