If your friends are always telling you how funny you are and you’ve been thinking about trying stand-up comedy but don’t know where to begin, you won’t want to miss this FREE comedy workshop on Saturday April 18th being offered by Comix and the Manhattan Comedy School.
Speakers include: Seinfeld and Cheers writer Tom Leopold, Comix owner Harlan Halper, Director of New Talent at Comix Andy Engel, and national headliner Cory Kahaney who has had her own ½ hour specials on both Comedy Central and HBO. Cory is also the instructor for The Manhattan Comedy School.
Topics covered include: how & where to get started, conquering stage fright, writing techniques, how to land an agent and much much more. There will also be a Q&A session. Representatives from the Manhattan Comedy School will be on hand to provide information on the 8-week course taught at New York’s top Comedy School. The graduation show for this class is a live performance at Comix where students will receive a FREE broadcast quality, 2-camera shoot DVD.
