Intro to Musical IMPROV with Alex Burke

This 7-week course will give you all the tools you need to improvise songs and incorporate them seamlessly into your improv scenes and shows. The class focuses on discovering your unique singing voice, and how it can be applied to your cast of characters. You will be equipped to easily improvise legitimate songs in multiple genres that will leave your audiences amazed.

  (All levels of musical background and talent are encouraged, but the class is intended for graduates of a full-curriculum improv training center.)

Alex Burke has musical directed for The Second City, UCB, IO, and Baby Wants Candy. As a composer, his music has been heard on “The Tonight Show”, “Frank TV”, HBO’s “Funny or Die”, and more. He has recorded on albums with Fiona Apple, Margaret Cho, Ben Lee, Linda Perry, and comedy duo Garfunkel & Oates.
