Hey All, I’m the new webmaster at DailyComedy.com. We’re in the beta stage right now, and we already have over 13000 user submitted jokes. This isn’t like any other joke site. We don’t have “blonde” jokes, or “guy walks into a bar jokes”, although we do have Paris Hilton jokes and David Hasselhoff shouldn’t walk into a bar jokes. My point is, we have real jokes submitted by real comedians like you all. And, of course, you can submit videos too.

We have a lot of secret stuff in the works for comedians, but here’s what I’m allowed to tell you so far. Basically the concept here is that most people kill time on the internet when they are at work, and that usually means they cant watch videos. Even if your workplace blocks websites, you can still read jokes in the Daily LOL we send out… which is something you cant do with videos (videos don’t play within an email). Also, it is much easier to write a joke than produce a video.

We are so excited to have so many jokes so far, and are doing our best to organize them in a manor that gets the most exposure. Right now, if you type “Sarah Palin Jokes” into yahoo.com, our Sarah Palin Hot Topic page comes up in the first page of results. Not the case with Google, but we’re working on it. We also have enhanced MySpace and Facebook share features. You, or anyone that likes one of your jokes or videos, can broadcast them on MySpace and/or Facebook in two clicks! (three clicks if you’re not logged in). Any jokes or videos that get picked by our staff get sent out in our Daily LOL newsletter and featured on our homepage.

In addition to all that, we have an online late night talk show called “LateNet with Ray Ellin” where we feature your jokes as well. And this talk show is no joke. Our guests have included Leonard Nemoy, Hank Azaria, Chevy Chase, Fran Drescher, Gilbert Gottfried, Charles Grodin, Darrell Hammond, Artie Lange, Paul Shaffer, and more…

And of course, registration is free and more cool comedian tools to come. Here’s a sample of the Daily LOL we send out. I’d love to hear your comments (good or bad).
