I thought your set was great, dude. I loved your approach. “I have black jokes but they work better if you weren’t in the room” was clever and went over well.
The MLK closing joke has potential but I feel it was rushed and maybe it could have used some more setting and plot. Okay so Abe is small, there is a tandem bike but I don’t understand any real context and its not really telling a story. (I get dreams should be bizarre, but you can still build it better in the minds of the audience).
I liked your crowd interaction too. The bluff on starting over your Rick Perry joke was well done.

EVERYONE tells me the same thing about the MLK joke, which I have tried differently so many ways. How would you approach that joke? I was thinking of changing it. Saying how dreams always are 1 part weird 1 part relevant to our life. So MLK’s real dream went more like this- abraham lincoln was like a midget, and he was being set free by a normal sized gary coleman. I’m so close to throwing out this joke because i can’t take it anywhere. Help!
