There are soooo many comics not on the stand up comic database here…does anyone know how to add new comics or get DeadFrog to add new comics?

I know. I have a whole list of comics to do. I regularly go through the search logs to see what people are looking for, as that’s a good indication of who should be in there.

My goal is to add at least another 100 comics or so in the next three months, if not sooner.

If there’s a comic anyone wants me to add, they can .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) (or PM me here). I’ll put that one on the front burner for that update.

I have thought about creating a form for folks to add new comics with and will look into that in the future, perhaps to speed this up.

Does anyone have an opinion on who I should add next? Feel free to respond to this message board post.

Thanks for all these notes folks. Over the holidays, if I get a good amount of time, I will kick the database up to 240 comics, possibly more. These names will be folks I look at seriously to add right away.

Would it be possible for me to be added? http://funnyphilly.com/ComedianDetail.aspx?cid=27 <—- that’s the proof that I’m a comic in the Philly area. I just started out and am finding my way through the stand-up ranks. Hope you all enjoy my stuff!

bsw5044 and haroldkizzapps-

I haven’t really built the SUCD to be a promotion engine for rising stand-ups, since it seemed like that hole was filled by a lot of the Social Networks like Myspace and Facebook. I’ll have to revisit that if there’s enough people demanded it. I’m not sure I can make something as strong as those however.

I do have something I’m working on that could be good for rising talent, I’ll try and post a discrete link here when it’s close.

Hi all.  Just joined the site, and think it’s really cool to find a site like this. Perhaps there’s others but if so, I’ve never seen them.  My first thought was in regards to this same thing.  The list is really quite pathetic (which I do not at all mean as an insult to the webmaster, I just mean that as far as a whos who, it’s lacking).  Anything a member can do to help?

Hey Shig…

No offense taken… I know the list is heavy in some areas and light in others. Sadly my time has been limited as of late. I want to set up some sort of form for folks to add comics…. but that requires programming time. Which I also don’t have.

My first thought is what are the real glaring holes that you see right now and I’ll try and address them while I’m building the form (which hopefully will be before the end of the year).

I might be too biased in some cases toanswer that haha.  However a friend of mine who is a comedian and me were talking about how some comics are hit and miss but worth watching while some are good and you’d go see, and then of course there’s the elite bunch.  He asked me what a list would look like of every comedian that I think is truly truly good and could make me laugh time and time again.  I’d gladly just give you that list if you’d like.  =)  Don’t know if you want be to take up a whole page of the forums here though.
