Hey all,

I just signed up to DeadFrog because I thought I should get out into the stand-up community! :)

In the last few months I have started my own stand-up career in the Philly area and I was looking for some feedback from people who really like stand-up comedy. Also, if you know any places where I could get more stage time that would be greatly appreciated.

First timer here ... to any forum. After many years working in film & Tv (I was the Location Manager on the first series of The League of Gentlemen) I am taking some time out to help a friend set up a comedy club in Liverpool ... there are loads of sites where I can find out how great stand ups are ... suprise suprise! But I was wondering if there is anywhere where honest, customer, reviews can be found?

Also, apart from the obvious (ie great comics!) anyone got any thoughts about what makes a great comedy club/night out?

It seems going to the clubs a comedian that speaks without saying @#$%#$ or !#$%# and the occasional @$#* is a rarity. Must we listen to latest one night stand or best sex position you have while doing a visual demonstration on the stool. Many comedians once given the mic feel that it is there duty to have the most awkward conversation with the people at the show.
I am all for free speech but it seems that once you get to a certain point in your career you are going to have to censor yourself for many television channels anyway. Why not start now…..... I guess I just don’t get it…

There are soooo many comics not on the stand up comic database here…does anyone know how to add new comics or get DeadFrog to add new comics?

Where Can I Find a Dagerfield Type Comic?

I wrote a standup routine based on Dagerfield, now I need to find a good comic to play the role of a Dangerfield type character. Should be able to do a pretty close impression of Dangerfield for this to work. I’m in the Chicago area. Can anyone let me know where I can search or advertise for the right talent?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I was so excited to see louis Ck and i have to say his new material was a little weaker than usual.
In my opinion he is the best of all time. I did get to see patrice oneal there though and ohh lord did he put on a show.
If you guys ever get a chance to see patrice perform i would get some tickets.

Im looking for some great upcoming comics that people havent discovered yet.

Any Ideas?

a while back i was at a buddies place and i overheard a comic on his TV.
the comic did a bit about breaking and entering where they go to break in to some ones home, they get to the house and kick in the door just to realise all they really wanted to do was kick in a door. does anyone know who this comic is?
