Comedian. Producer. Tough Guy. Billy Lyons does it all. Raised in the “it’s a lot tougher than it sounds” Flower Hill section of Manhasset, New York, Billy Lyons first got his start in the entertainment industry at Wendy Taubmann’s Stars of Tomorrow in the summer of 1996. Billy’s thick glasses and waste quickly caught the eyes of managers, who signed him to audition for the role of “nerdy younger brother” in commercials, television, and film.
After taking a break from acting to pursue a degree at the University of Richmond, Billy made his way back to New York after graduation and decided to follow his dream of making people laugh. Though relatively new to comedy, Billy’s natural stage presence and twisted take on life helped him win the January 2007 Comic in Residence competition and has helped him build relationships with various comedians throughout New York City.
Aside from stand up comedy, Billy’s natural ability to create characters led him to studying improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York.
When he’s not fulfilling his comic, production, or general tough guy duties, Billy enjoys contributing weekly columns to GenerationOnDemand.com and FarRunningFatMan.com. He also enjoys wearing aviators, rocking out to 80’s music, eating steak, lifting, and crossword puzzles, but only the tough kind.
