By far, the most over-rated comic of this decade. He followed the classic flow of the American celebrity- come quickly out of relative obscurity, reach a crest of tremendous fame, and then fall fast and hard out of style, all the while continuing to crank out his product. Highly unoriginal, and obviously did a little more than ‘borrow’ from fellow funny-man Louis C.K. Very fad-ish.

This isn’t comedy it’s just story time with a guy who yells to much!!!

Dane is the equivalent of a rock band that can’t play well but puts on a decent show and has lots of fans.  Great energetic performer but his act lies on the annoying side and his material is rarely interesting though he can turn some into funny bits.

He is ONE OF THE WORST COMEDIANS OUT THERE. HE IS DENIABLE IN ALL WAYS! He is just a knock off of Nick Swardson (who is undeniable)  Dane Cook is just too animated to be in comedy. Go back to preschool Dane Cook.

He is the comedian everyone get’s into that has never been into stand up comedy before. He could be the gateway for average people who don’t know much about stand up comedy to get into other more talented comedians but Dane Cook just hype.

Overrated! Overrated!

Dane is average. He is very likable and charismatic but his material is pretty weak most of the time. He has a nice way of painting a picture, and he is animated in his story telling, but it is obvious he is trying to be cool. I would see him in person again for the entertainment value, but i would wait a year or two between shows for him to develop material.

Unoriginal, with very sloppy writing that typically fails to start a joke narrative, nevermind finish it strong. Delivery includes much phrase repetition with varying enunciations, like he’s constantly trying to create catch-phrases (fancy that). His popularity is due primarily to his devout “myspacing” when he started out. Accusations of joke stealing are the last nail in the coffin.

The first time I ever heard him I felt like I had a new friend.

I just don’t get it. This guy is not funny whatsoever.

Dane Cook is a fad, his fans love him, and most critics don’t.  And because of his enormous college-aged fan-base, he’s a bigger target of hate.

I have to give credit where it is due.  Dane Cook has some of the best, most energetic delivery in stand-up today.  His material on the other hand is severely lacking.  The joke listed on this page is about Burger King.  The only thing funny about it, is the way Dane Cook delivers it. 

Cheap laughs are still laughs, and Dane is laughing to the bank, so props to him.
