Featured Comedian: Ricky Gervais
Though he’s performed three stand-up specials in England, Ricky Gervais stand-up has been largely absent from television across the pond. If you were unable to catch him at one of his rare live performances in NEw York or Los Angeles, the only places to see Gervais was either bootlegged clips on YouTube or, if you were only a virtual law-breaker, in the SplitSides comedy club in the recent Grand Theft Auto IV.
HBO is changing this with “Ricky Gervais: Out of England”, his first special made for the United States. Here’s a taste of it, featuring Gervais in a bit of faux modesty about how he helps cancer patients, or as he affectionately calls them, little bald fuckers.
“Ricky Gervais: Out of England” premieres Saturday at 9PM on HBO.
